Essential Digital Skills: Navigating Slack & Google Search

Overview

Slack is a professional communication and collaboration tool widely used across industries, especially in tech.

Search engines (such as Google Search) are powerful tools that IT professionals rely on to quickly find solutions and troubleshoot issues.

This exercise aims to help you

  • Become familiar with Slack so you can use it effectively in CodeYourFuture’s courses and also in a professional setting
  • Enhance self-sufficiency in finding solutions using search engines

Steps

  1. Answer the questions on Slack and Search Engine Exercise
  2. If your score is at least 25/30, go to step 3. Otherwise please repeat step 1
  3. Use your browser’s print function to print/save the Result Page (Score Summary Page) to a PDF file
    • Hint: Use a search engine to learn how to print a webpage to a PDF file using a browser
  4. Submit the PDF file

A volunteer will review your submission and check it meets the acceptance criteria. They will give you feedback on your submission and help you make any changes to meet the criteria.
